Pleased to meet you

For centuries ladies have desired that headwear – be it beret, bonnet or charming chapeau should in itself be a thing of beauty. An adornment, which shall at once express and flatter the wearer and be joyfully in tune with her time.

To have the pleasure of wearing one of my hats gives you an unselfconscious happiness, which I consider to be an ideal mood!

In today’s world occasions for wearing a hat are few and far between. But that is no excuse for well-dressed ladies attending a spring carnival, garden party or summer wedding not adorning ones ensemble with attractive headwear.

I always like to make an effort to wear some delightful whimsy from a fanciful flower, Alice-band, or Doo-rag adding a little gay-abandon to everyday.

On a personal note I have a passion for the golden age of glamour from the 1920s to the 1950s - fashion, music, hair and makeup. I enjoy tea parties, collecting vintage threads and cutting a rug on the dance floor.

Words of wisdom before I go keep your seamed stockings straight, lipstick ruby red and wear that hat with attitude darlings!

I do look forward to our next hat appointment.

Casually yours ~
